Three Oaks has grown to become the cultural hub of Harbor Country. Over the years, Three Oaks has attracted and supports a thriving artist community that includes incredible art galleries, boutiques, antique stores, and great restaurants like Froehlich’s Kitchen & Pantry and Oaks Eatery. Not to mention Nelson’s Saloon where you will find the best burger in Harbor Country.

This massive historic building is also home to The Acorn Theater which features live music from national and local talents in an intimate atmosphere and attracts music lovers from hundreds of miles around.

Historic, charming establishments don’t end there. Drier’s Meat Market, a fourth-generation butcher shop that Carl Sandburg once patronized. The Vickers Theatre, a renovated art-house film theater features first-run films, documentaries, and foreign films.

Every June you can experience the largest Flag Day parade in the U.S. where throngs of people gather in downtown Three Oaks to view the spectacle.
